Utilities need secure, reliable, fast, flexible, and advanced connectivity solutions. Cellular Wireless technologies like LTE, LTE-M, NB-IoT and 5G/NR enable widespread, reliable coverage providing a single wireless platform for multiple use cases for any kind of utility. Utilities are looking to harness wireless connectivity to build more reliable, secure, and flexible digital infrastructures. Wireless networks enable utilities to improve operational efficiencies, allowing a utility to solve different problems through diverse networks with one physical system.

A single network simultaneously enables both wide-area high coverage/guaranteed reliability and local-area high performance. Several recent Federal Communication Commission (FCC) rulings have provided a clear path for utilities to solve grid challenges with wireless broadband solutions. Utilities using communications are expected to double by 2032.

Utility companies need Test and Measurement equipment that provides insights required to improve coverage and quality of service throughout the wireless network lifecycle as well as ensure reliability and efficiency in the communications systems.
